Death is the Ultimate Equalizer

Jeremiah Luke Barnett

--

Death is the ultimate equalizer in life. No matter what one experiences during life, they will experience the exact same thing as every other living human being when their life comes to an end punctuated by death.

Every life is full of pain, love, suffering, success, and achievement. Every single life ends with death.

The person you admire most in this world and the person you despise most in this world experience life the same way you do in that they cry, laugh, love, lose, gain and then die.

In a world so divided by race, sect, creed, history, and tradition, ultimately, we are all on the same playing field and we all meet the same end as well as come from the same beginning.

The next time you consider differences between you and the people around you, remember that their tears flow the same way that yours do, their laughter erupts in the same way that yours does, their pain is equally as intense as yours, their joy is equally as wonderful as yours, and their death is equally as sure as yours.

Don’t let the world’s divisions distract you from the ultimate truth. Don’t let temporary politics distract you from foundational truths. Let death serve as the ultimate equalizer in a playing field that humans so constantly try to divide.
