I Wish I’d Started Conquering Fears Sooner

There are things that I want to do in life, simple things not even big scary things, that leave me petrified. Sometimes they leave me stuck in my bedroom lying on my bed unable to make a decision.

I think this type of fear, this type of aversion to discomfort, grows slowly depending on where we are in life. If we are in a comfortable place in life I think it grows to a point where it surprises us with how much dread we feel.

The thing that I wish I had started much sooner was intentionally carving out space in my life to chip away at that fear because it is something you can chip away at. When you begin to chip away at your fears, you can move more freely with less dread and more confidence in life.

This is one of the top things I want to continue to invest in this year.

I want to continue to make decisions out of hope and confidence and not out of fear.

I challenge you to think of the ways that you are chipping away at your fear, the ways that you’re chipping away at that block that keeps you from doing certain things in life.

Perhaps you’re living under a larger fear than need be, perhaps you can take small steps to start eliminating aspects of that fear and make it smaller and more manageable so that you can live life more confidently and more freely.
